Lars Olof Larson, 1008 S. 14th street, died at Burlington hospital at 12:05 Friday morning following a 2 months' illness.
Born in Gastrikland, Sweden, September 14, 1862, he came with his wife, Christina Westlung(sic)Larson whom he had married Dec. 28, 1888 to Burlington in 1892.
He was employed at the Murray Iron works for 20 years, retiring from active duties in 1931. He was a member of Messiah Lutheran church. Mrs. Larson died in 1929.
He is survived by two daughters, Mrs. Mildred Gockel, Cleveland, Ohio and Mrs. Regina Larm, Burlington; 2 sons, Ewald M. and Herbert L., Burlington; 6 grandchildren and one great-grandchild. There is alsoa half-sister, Anna Larson, in Sweden. One daughter and one sister are dead.
Funeral services will be held at 3 p.m. Sunday at Barnett-Wallen funeral home. Rev. Russell Johnson will officiate, with burial in Aspen Grove cemetery.
