Injury Fatal to Sourwine

Funeral servides to be Friday afternoon for Burlington cabinetmaker

George E. Sourwine, 51, of 1212 Madison avenue, injured at work Wednesday afternoon, died at Burlington hospital shortly before 5 p.m.
Mr. Sourwine, a cabinet maker employed by the Dahlin Brothers & Davis company, was at work at a glue press when his wrench slipped, causing him to fall, striking his head on some machinery, it was reported at the factory.
The injured workman was taken to the hospital, where it was reported he suffered a fractured skull. He died without regaining consciousness.
Born August 21, 1883 at Danville, Ia., he was the son of Bernard and Catherine Sourwine. He attended Grace Methodist church.
Surviving are his widow, Mrs. Sourwine; a son, Phillip, at home; three daughters, Marie at home, Mrs. Emma Reusch or Burlington, and Mrs. E. Lamb, Media, Ill., three brothers, Charles, Ben and Clarence, Burlington, a sister, Mrs. George E. Miller of this city, and two grandchildren. The factory employe was a cousin of County Supervisor John P. Sourwine.
Funeral services will be held at Prugh's chapel at 4 p.m. Friday with burial in Aspen Grove cemetery. The body will be at the home from 9 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. Friday.
