Karl F. Ruschill, 83, of Denmark, died at 12:50 a.m. Friday, March 27, 1992, at the Fort Madison Community Hospital.

Born June 13, 1908, in Des Moines County, he was the son of Joseph and Alvina Sommerfeld Ruschill. He married Marjorie May Davey February 19, 1929, in Burlington.

He had worked at J. I. Case Co. for 10 years and was a farmer before retiring. He was a member of the Denmark Congregational United Church of Christ where he was the oldest deacon. He was also a member of the Denmark Senior Citizens and former director of Peach Blow School.

Survivors include his wife of Denmark; two sons, Don Ruschill of New London, and Jim Ruschill of Mount Pleasant; two daughters, Dorothy Henson of Niota, Illinois, and JoAnn Yaley of rural Fort Madison; two brothers, Fremont Ruschill of rural Burlington, and Norman Ruschill of Cheyenne, Wyoming; two sisters, Alice Lutenegger of Burlington, and Erma Evans of West Burlington; 13 grandchildren, 22 great-grandchildren, four step-great-grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.

Friends may call after noon Sunday with the family receiving friends from 7 to 8 p.m. at the King-Lynk Funeral Home in Fort Madison.

The funeral for Mr. Ruschill will be 10 a.m. Monday at King-Lynk Funeral Home with the Reverend Bill Kanne officiating. Burial will be in the Fairview Cemetery . A memorial has been established for the Denmark Congregational United Church of Christ.
