Joseph Ruschill, 82, of 1516 Grove, died Thursday at 2:05 a.m. at his home after an illness of four years.

He was born in Rohle, Austria, February 11, 1871, the son of Joseph and Amelia Ruschill. He came to the US at the age of 16 and, after working in Burlington, engaged in farming for 45 years, retiring four years ago. In 1900 he married Alvina Sommerfield.

Surviving are the widow and nine children: Clarence of Chicago, Arthur of Sperry, Frank and Karl of West Point, Frances Keitzer of Mediapolis, Fremont Ruschill and Erma Evans of West Burlington, Norman of Aurora, Colorado, Alice Lutenegger of Burlington; a brother, Charles Ruschill of Colfax; 21 grandchildren. Two brothers and a sister are dead.

Services will be Saturday at 3:30 p.m. in Prugh's chapel, Reverend R. G. Beck will officiate. Burial will be in Memorial Park cemetery.
