Richard A. Mohler, 72, of West Burlington, died at 5 p.m. Sunday, October 25, 1987, at Burlington Medical Center.

Born December 19, 1914, in Burlington, he was the son Adam and Regina Stodt Mohler. He married Mary Brehm June 14, 1939, in Burlington.

He was retired from Benner Tea Company and Holzen's Grocery and was a member of St. Mary's Catholic Church, and past president and charter member of the Southeast Iowa Pigeon Club.

Surviving are his wife; two sons, Donald Mohler, Hiawatha, and Gary Mohler, West Burlington; one brother, Robert Mohler, Burlington; one sister, Rose Marie Robinson, rural Burlington; seven grandchildren, two step-grandchildren, three great-grandchildren; and nieces and nephews.

The rosary will be said 7 p.m. Tuesday at Lunning Chapel, with family visitation following.

The service for Mr. Mohler will be 10 a.m. Wednesday at St. Mary's Catholic Church, with Reverend Louis Mulligan officiating.

A memorial has been established for the St. Mary's grotto.
