Harry Powell, 52, of 1212 Elm, died Saturday, Iowa City, where he had been a patient since Jan. 27.
Born March 10 1898 in Ill. He was raised in Mediapolis area and has lived in Burlington for 30 years. May 29 1920, he married Rosa Moyers.
He was a member of the Seventh Day Adventist church and was a cement contractor.
Surviving are the widow; four sons, Harold and Chester of Burlington. Johnny and Jimmy at home; six daughters, Mrs Lillian Leibli, Mrs. Mary Louise Bowling and Mrs. Virginia Giffor of Burlington. Marjorie, Nancy and Linda at home; two foster brothers, Frank White of Ohio and Lyle White of near Des Moines: three foster sisters, Mrs. Margaret Marshall of New London, Mrs. Mary Sallady of New Mexico and Mrs Harriett Denney of Levenworth, Kan. A son died in infancy.
Services will be Wednesday at 2 p.m. in Burnett Wallen funeral home. Rev. E. W. Amundson will officiate. Burial will be in Bazel cemetery north of Burlington.
