Roy Doran, 47, a native of Des Moines county, died Wednesday (April 28, 1948) at 11:45 a.m. after an extended illness.

He was born in Des Moines county, March 23, 1901, the son of Henry and Anna Doran. He was of the Methodist faith.

Surviving are his mother; 4 brothers, Frank, Burlington, Raymond and Robert, Kingston, Rex, Mediapolis; 2 sisters, Mrs. Maude Morgan, Ft. Madison, and Mrs. Dora Vorwerk, Burlington. His father, a brother and a sister are dead.

Services will be held Saturday at 2 p.m. in Prugh's chapel. Burial will be in Kossuth cemetery.
