Duane H. "Cy" Dorothy, 84, of Burlington, died at 6:13 p.m. Wednesday, Oct. 16, 2002, at Great River Medical Center in West Burlington.
Born May 4, 1918, at Carthage, Ill., he was the son of Charles Chester and Grace Hunter Dorothy. He married Dorothy L. McNeil Anderson on Jan. 14, 1978, in Burlington.
Cy was a lineman all his life. He worked at C.I.P.S. in Beardstown, Ill., Iowa Southern Utilities, Arizona Power and Light (in the 1940s) and for 32 1/2 years as a lineman and line foreman at Iowa Army Ammunition Plant in Middletown, retiring in February of 1983.
