Juanita "Sis" Pickle, 64, of New London, died 3:15 p.m. Wednesday, July 27, 1988, at the Burlington Medical Center.

Born April 13, 1924, at Sperry, she was the daughter of Raymond and Daisey Hemmie Beames. She married Joseph C. Pickle August 8, 1942, at Kahoka, Missouri.

Surviving are her husband; one son, Steven Pickle, New London; one daughter, Mrs. Jody Gholson, New London; two brothers, Joe Beames, Larue, Missouri, and John Beames, Visalia, California; one half-sister, Mrs. Wanda McGehee, Montrose; six half-brothers, Kenny Beames and Richard Beames, both of Burlington, Winsor Hemmie, Mount Pleasant, Wayne Hemmie, Montrose, Larry Hemmie, Wever, and Jerry Hemmie, West Point; and three grandchildren.

Visitation will be from 7 to 9 p.m. Friday at the Elliott Chapel, New London.

The service for Mrs. Pickle will be 2:30 p.m. Saturday at the Elliott Chapel, New London, with the Reverend Gordon McMillan officiating. Burial will be in the Burge Cemetery (sic: likely in error).

A memorial has been established for the A. J. Cancer Research at Burlington Medical Center.
