Betty M. Brockway, 81, of Davenport, died Friday, November 26, 2004, at Genesis East Hospital in Davenport.

Born April 17, 1923, near Mediapolis, she was the daughter of Clarence and Irene Torode Deam.

Ms. Brockway was a graduate of Mediapolis High School. She worked for many years as a clerk at Sears in Davenport before her retirement.

Survivors include two sons, Michael Brockway of Colona, Illinois, and Stephen Brockway of Moline, Illinois; one granddaughter; and one sister, Donna Schmied of Wapello.

She was preceded in death by her parents and one brother.

Visitation will be from 10 a.m. until the time of service Tuesday at Dudgeon-McCulley Funeral Home in Wapello.

The funeral for Ms. Brockway will be Tuesday at 11 a.m. at Dudgeon-McCulley Funeral Home. Interment will follow at Elmwood Cemetery in Morning Sun.

A memorial has been established.
