Mrs. Cecil Hartman, 68,.of Morning Sun, died Wednesday, February 18 (1970), at Burlington's Memorial hospital.

The former Laura Irene Gregory, Mrs. Hartman was born in Morning Sun April 16, 1901, the daughter of Charles and Jennie Reece Gregory.

She married Cecil Hartman in Burlington July 23, 1919.

Throughout her life, Mrs. Hartman lived in the Morning Sun community. She was a member of the Methodist church, the WSCS, the Royal Neighbors and the American Legion Auxiliary.

Surviving: The husband; three sons, Clarence, Leo and Bill, all of Morning Sun; two daughters, Mrs. Doris Strawhacker, Oakville, and Mrs. JaNan Jacobs, Morning Sun; 11 grandchildren and three great-grandchildren; a brother, Reece Gregory, Morning Sun.

Services were held Friday, February 20, at the Morning Sun Methodist church, Reverend Frank Greenwood officiating. Burial was in Elmwood cemetery.

A memorial has been established at the Methodist church.
