Rebecca Ann "Beki" Schnedler, 47, of Burlington, died Saturday, July 26, 2014 at Great River Medical Center, West Burlington.
Born on February 28, 1967 in Burlington, she was the daughter of Louis L. "Barney" and Marion "Maggie" Clara (Grothe) Inghram. She married David Schnedler on February 14, 1997 in Burlington.
Beki was a Registered Nurse working in home health care for 10 years. She was of the Christian faith. She was an avid Chicago Bears fan. She was a master gardener, she loved her yard, flowers, garden and pond. She helped at the Burlington Gym in the kitchen preparing meals with her mother Maggie for BINGO nights. Beki enjoyed all animals, especially cats, dogs and frogs. She recently became interested in bird watching and feeding. She loved being online searching and "pinning" with Pinterest and Facebook. As a family, Beki, David and Sami loved to go to amusement parks and ride roller coasters, and Sami and Beki enjoyed watching scary movies together.
Survivors include her husband, David Schnedler of Burlington; one daughter, Samantha "Sami" Schnedler of Burlington; her father, Barney Inghram of Burlington; three sisters, Patti (Phil) Good, Jacquie Thomas and Linda Inghram-Smothers all of Burlington; two brothers, John Reusch and Mike (Barb Adrian) Reusch both of Burlington; sister-in-law, Brenda Zagorski of Burlington; brother-in-law, Steve (Mary) Schnedler of Aurora, CO and several nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her mother, Maggie, twin brother and sister in infancy, brother-in-law Daniel Smothers, maternal and paternal grandparents and her mother and father-in-law.
A memorial has been established for the Des Moines County Humane Society.
