Death From Influenza.

Peter Schmidt, one of Burlington's oldest and highly esteemed German citizens, died at his residence, no. 610 south Twelfth street, yesterday. Deceased had an attack of influenza the fore part of last week, but was thought to be out of danger when he ventured out and took cold, causing a relapse and his sudden demise. He was a man in well-to-do circumstances, although his advance age had incapacitated him from laboring for a number of years, being eight-three years old at the time of his death. He was a staunch member of St. John's Catholic church. The funeral will take place from the family residence to-morrow at one o'clock and proceed to St. John's Cathedral wher services will tae place at 1:30.

DIED.

SCHMIDT--Died, Monday, January 13, at 2:00 a.m.. Peter Schmidt, aged 83 years.

The funeral will leave the family residence, 610 South Twelfth street, Wednesday, January 15, at 1:00 p.m. and proceed to St. John's Cathedral on Division street, where services will take place at 1:30 p.m.. Relatives and friends are invited to attend.
