Philomena "Minnie" Agnes Stodt, 101, of 118 Spring Street, West Burlington, died at 11:47 a.m. Wednesday, October 21, 1992, at St. Francis Continuation Care Center.
Born February 8, 1891, in Austria, she was the daughter of Ignatz and Aloisia Hornicek Strouhal. She married Richard Stodt on November 17, 1915, in Burlington. He died January 19, 1925.
She was a homemaker and a member of St. Mary's Catholic Church, West Burlington, and its Altar and Rosary Society.
Survivors include four daughters, Mary Esther Stodt and Rita P. Stodt, both of West Burlington, Lillian Horlyck of Troy, New York, and Teresa Bigley of San Mateo, California; 10 grandchildren; and six great-grandchildren.
Besides her husband, she was preceded in death by her parents, two daughters, a brother, and three sisters.
Friends may call after 8 a.m. Friday with the rosary being recited at 7 p.m. followed by the family receiving friends until 8:30 p.m. at Lunning Chapel.
The funeral for Mrs. Stodt will be 10 a.m. Saturday at St. Mary's Catholic Church with the Reverend Thomas J. Reilman officiating. Burial will be in St. Mary's Cemetery.
Memorials have been established for St. Mary's Grotto and the third-floor equipment fund at St. Francis Continuation Care Center.
