James Gumm

James Withers gumm, 69, of 2217 Valley Street, died Thursday at 7:20 p.m. after a brief illniess.

He was born in Michigan, Feb. 1, 1879, and had lived in Burlington for 37 years. In 1912, he married rose Murrmann in Burlington. He was a member of the Methodist faith.

Surviving are 3 daughters, mrs. Maxine Schultz, Burlington, Avonell at home, and Mrs. Dorothy Norman Galesburg; a borther, John of Moberly, MO.; and several nieces and nephews. His wife and 3 brothers are dead.

Services will be held Monday at 2 p.m. in Prught's chapel. burial will be in Meyer cemeetery, north of Burlington.
