BATAVIA - Maurice (Jic) Copeland died Oct. 21 at Iowa Methodist Memorial Center in Des Moines at 71.
Services were held Monday at 11 a.m. at Westminster United Presbyterian Church in Des Moines. Interment was with Masonic rites.
He was reared in Batavia, the son of Loren and Clara Copeland and operated a men's clothing store after the death of his father.
He is survived by his wife, Ruth, two sisters, Mildred Swenson of Kirbyville, Mo., and Helen Dewey of Reed Springs, Mo.
