Retired Shops Employee Dies
Theodore Landhauser lived entire
life in same house—Born in 1857

Theodore Landhauser, 74, employee of the Burlington railroad shops at West Burlington for 56 consective years, died yesterday afternoon at his home, 402 Summer street, the same home in which he was born and in which he had lived all his life.

Mr. Landhauser was born March 8 1857 and would have celebrated his 75th birthday anniversary next Turesday. He was married here to Miss Mary Stockman, Jan 16, 1882. He was a tinsmith at the railroad shops for 56 years and was retired on a pension, Aporil 5, 1927.

He was a member of Zion Evangelical church, the Hawkeye Natives association, Veterans association of Burlington railroad and the A.O.U.W. lodge.

Surviving are three daughters, Mrs. L.H. Beierle, Mrs. Ed Smith and Mrs R.L. Fischer, all of Burlington, and four grandchildren. Mr. Landhauser's wife died Sept. 18, 1922 and one daughter, Mrs. Ruby McLane also preceded him in death.

The body was taken to Unterkircher's funeral home where it will remain until funeral arrangements can be completed.
