Thurs, May 17, 1990, "Branson Beacon", Taney Co, Missouri

Services for Dr Albert V. "Cap" Eisenhart, 90, Hollister, were to be held May 17 at the Sheagren Funeral Home, Burlington, Iowa with the Rev. William Trump of the First Congregational Church of Burlington, Iowa, officiating. Burial will be at the Aspen Grove Cemetery. He was a long time resident of the area and a good friend to many. He worked with many community service organizations, having been a member of the Branson Hollister Lions Club, The Retired Officers Association, the Branson Masonic Lodge 587 AF&AM, and the BPOE of Harrison, Ark. He was retired from the U.S. Navy, having served during World War I, World War II, and the Korean War. He retired with 24 years of creditable military service as the most senior captain in the U.S. Navy. He served in both the Atlantic and Pacific Theaters of operation. He also served as Executive Officer of the Dental Corps Units at Naval installations in the United States and Naval Task Forces aboard major aircraft carriers, including the USS Shangri La, the first aircraft carrier with a canted flight deck.

Survivors include his wife, Betty, of the family home, one son and daughter in law, Robert W, and Helen Eisenhart, Lake Petersburg, Ill, one daughter and son in law, Joan Marie and Virgil Simon of Glenview, Ill, six grandchildren, six great-grandchildren, one sister, Mrs Glen Devere Wagner, Burlington, Iowa, and two nieces. He was preceded in death by his first wife of 65 years, Wilma. Memorials may be made to the Hospice of Southwest Missouri or the First Congregational Church of Burlington, Iowa.
