Wever—William H. Brookhiser, 81, Wever, Rt. 1, died in Ft. Madison Community hospital at 1:05 a.m. Wednesday, Jan 28,(1981).

He was born here Oct 18, 1899, to W.J. and Minnie Behne Brookhiser. He married Blanche Milliman March 12, 1919, in Burlington.

Mr. Brookhiser was associated with his sons, Harold, and Robert, in W. H. Brookhiser Trucking Co. He was vice president of Audubon-Brookhiser Transportation Co. and was a retired farmer, a member of Spring Grove United Methodist Church and was a trustee of the I.O.O.F.

Surviving: the wife; four sons, Harold and Robert, Wever, Raymond Denmark, and William, Englewood, Ohio; daughter Marion Johnson, West Burlington; 17 grandchildren; and 23 great-grandchildren.

Funeral 1:30 p.m. Friday, Barr Memorial Chapel, Ft. Madison, the Rev. Harold Welly; Memorial Park Cemetery, Burlington. A memorial for Spring Grove United Methodist Church has been established.
