Mary M. Newberry, 84, of Burlington, died at 4:55 a.m. Tuesday, April 11, 2006, at Burlington Care Center.

Born March 13, 1922, in Burlington, she was the daughter of A.P. "Bonnie" and Edith Stumpf Weaver. On May 30, 1942, in Burlington, she married Frank Eugene Newberry Sr. He died on April 24, 1993.

Mrs. Newberry was a homemaker.

She was a member of SS John and Paul Catholic Church. She volunteered for the Parish Life Committee and was an avid golfer.

Survivors include two daughters, Nancy A. (Paul) Hertel and Jeanne M. Ertz, both of Burlington; five sons, James T. (Jan)Newberry, Thomas M. (Pam)Newberry and Daniel J. (Pam)Newberry, all of Burlington, John A. (Cindy)Newberry of New London, and Frank E. (Lori)Newberry Jr. of West Burlington; 20 grandchildren and 18 great-grandchildren.

Besides her husband, she was preceded in death by her parents and one granddaughter.

Burial will be in Sacred Heart Cemetery.
