Donald Goble
Donald Arthur Goble, 73, of Burlington died at 2:41 p.m. Thursday, Jan. 15, 2009, in Burlington.
Born Feb. 17, 1935, in Burlington, he was the son of Arthur J. Goble and Pearl A. Timmerman.

Mr. Goble was a mechanic and worked in the agricultural industry. He was employed by Cropmate.

He was an avid race car fan and enjoyed the Chicago Bears and the Chicago Cubs and socializing with friends.

Survivors include three sons, David Goble, Tom Goble and Donald Goble Jr., all of Burlington; three grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; four sisters, Joyce Hageman and Sandra Cleek, both of Burlington, Joan Bowers of Kingston and Linda Pilger of West Burlington; one brother, Richard Goble of Burlington; and several nieces; nephews; great-nieces; and great-nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents, two sisters and one brother.

Visitation with family will be from 6 to 7:30 p.m. Wednesday at Prugh Funeral Service.

The funeral for Mr. Goble will be at 10:30 a.m. Thursday at Prugh Funeral Service, with the Rev. JudyAnn Morse officiating. Burial will be at 10:30 a.m. Friday in Latty Cemetery.

A memorial has been established.
