Edna Minnie Ehrhart, 79, of Burlington, died at 1:02 a.m. Thursday, April 22, 2004, at Great River Medical Center in West Burlington.

Born November 15, 1924, in Waukon, she was the daughter of Freeman Herman and Minnie Reuthkmeier Bechtel. She first married Laverne Adolph in Waukon. On September 16, 1976, she married LaMar J. Ehrhart in Biggsville, Illinois. He died January 2, 1983.

Mrs. Ehrhart worked in production at the Iowa Army Ammunition Plant for 29 years.

She was of the Protestant faith. She enjoyed crocheting, flower gardening, traveling, spending time on river boats and was a member of the Eagles Lodge in Burlington.

Survivors include three daughters, Cathy Gilpin of Pella, Patricia Rice of Burlington and Diane Whitmore of Carman, Illinois; two sons, Randall Adolph of Burke, Virginia, and Thomas Adolph of Gladstone, Illinois; nine grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; many nieces and nephews and several cousins.

Besides her husbands, she was preceded in death by her parents, one son, one brother and one sister.

Visitation will be from noon to 8:30 p.m. today at Prugh's Chapel, where the family will receive friends from 6:30 to 8:30 p.m.

The funeral for Mrs. Ehrhart will be at 10:00 a.m. Saturday at Prugh's Chapel, with the Rev. Bill Porter officiating. Burial will be in Burlington Memorial Park Cemetery.

A memorial has been established.
