Robert Tyner, 86, of 2023 Summer, died at 5:30 a.m. Monday, Oct. 20, at his home.

He was born May 14, 1889, at Salem, the son of Elijah P. and Emma Geese Tyner, Oct. 27, 1926, in Burlington, he married Florence Denney.

Mr. Tyner was an employee of Klein Manufacturing until his retirement. He was a member of Grace United Methodist church.

Surviving: The wife; two sons, Wayne, Burlington, and Lee, Sperry; one grandson; several nieces and nephews.

Funeral: 1:30 p.m. Wednesday, Lunning Chapel, Rev. Laurence Garrett, Jaggar Cemetery.
