Delora Grinstead
Delora Gertrude Grinstead, 91, of Burlington, died at 7 p.m. Monday, Jan. 21, 2008, at Burlington Care Center.

Born May 14, 1916, in Des Moines County, she was the daughter of Joseph Grinstead and Laura Thomes Grinstead Sams.

Miss Grinstead worked at Camp's Laundry and in housekeeping at the Masonic Temple, retiring in 1981.

She was of the Methodist faith. She enjoyed taking care of other people.

Survivors include four sisters, Lois Osborne of Burlington, Doris Jones of Boonesville, Ark., JoAnn Bjorge of Osage Beach, Mo., and Mary Alice Deck of Marshall, Mo.; nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents, one sister and two brothers.

Visitation will be from noon to 8 p.m. today at Lunning Chapel. The family will receive friends for one hour prior to the time of service on Thursday.

The funeral for Miss Grinstead will be at 2 p.m. Thursday at Lunning Chapel with the Rev. Dan Dingus officiating. Burial will be in Jaggar Cemetery, rural Danville.

Memorials have been established for Burlington Care Center and Great River Hospice.
