Judy Bojorquez
Judy Ann Bojorquez, 66, of Burlington, died at 12:40 p.m. Wednesday, Jan. 2, 2008, at Great River Hospice House in West Burlington.

Born May 4, 1941, in Burlington, she was the daughter of Frank and Juanita "Nita" Soto Diaz.

Ms. Bojorquez was a medical transcriptionist at Great River Medical Center for more than 30 years. She was a 1959 graduate of Burlington High School. She was a member of SS. John and Paul Catholic Church. She was actively involved in the Christian Experience Weekend Community. She enjoyed creating greeting cards and reading.

Survivors include three brothers, Bob Diaz of Palm Harbor, Fla., Mike Diaz and John Diaz, both of Burlington; one sister, Jessie Dickenson of Clovis, N.M.; nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents.

Visitation will be from 8 a.m. to 8 p.m. Friday at Hass-Thielen Funeral Home where the family will receive friends following a 6 p.m. Rosary Service until 8 p.m.

The Mass of the Resurrection for Ms. Bojorquez will be at 10 a..m. Saturday at St. John the Baptist Catholic Church with the Rev. Patrick J. Hilgendorf as celebrant. Burial will be in Sacred Heart Cemetery.

Memorials have been established for C.E.W. Community Keokuk Deanery, SS. John and Paul Catholic Church and Great River Hospice.
