Dale Olin Linder, 8a, 402 S. Walnut, New London, died at 6:15 p.m. Tuesday, Jan. 7, 1997, at Mesa General Hospital, Mesa, Ariz.

Born Jan. 17, 1915, in New London, he was the son of Olin and Mae Morris Linder. On Oct. 31, 1937, he married Mary Jane Little in Mount Pleasant.

Mr. Linder worked at J.I. Case in aircraft during World War II, in the experimental department in at Case after the war, was president and operator of Linder Co. for 25 years and worked for 10 years, as director of maintenance at Fort Madison schools until his retirement.

He was of the Protestant faith. He was a former member of Eagles Club in Burlington, Burlington Country Club, New London Country Club, New London School Board and Chamber of Commerce. He was a 1933 graduate of Fort Madison High School.

Survivors include his wife; one daughter, Dayle Nicole Warth of New London; two grandsons, and two great-granddaughters.

He was preceded in death by his parents and one brother.

Visitation will begin afternoon Mondat at Elliot Chapel in New London, where the family will recieve friends from 7 to 8:30 p.m.

The funeral for Mr. Linder will be 11 a.m. Tuesday at Elliot Chapel, with the Rev. Shirley Hoffman officiating. Burial will be in Burge cemetery.

A memorial has been established for New London Rescue Unit.
