Rena McIntyre
Rena Jean McIntyre, 72, of Olena, Ill., died at 9:40 a.m. Sunday, Dec. 9, 2007, at Methodist Medical Center in Peoria, Ill.

Born Oct. 12, 1935, she was the daughter of Arthur and Olive Kelly Walton. On Dec. 16, 1956 she married Donald McIntyre.

Mrs. McIntyre worked at the Lomax Canning Factory, Shelby Co., Lehigh & Leopold, Shaeffer Pen Co. and in the housekeeping department of Oak Lane Nursing & Rehab Center in Stronghurst, Ill. She was a member of the former Olena Community Church.

Survivors include her husband; two daughters, Jean Faudree of Media, Ill., and Debra Spiker of Stronghurst; four sons, Rodney McIntyre and Robert McIntyre, both of Stronghurst, and Mark McIntyre and Donald McIntyre, both of Burlington; 17 grandchildren; 14 great-grandchildren; two great-great-grandchildren; and eight brothers and sisters, Marion Walton and Ruby Walton, both of Stronghurst, Olive Riley of Quincy, Ill., Kay Snyder of Donnellson, Bobby Walton of Oceanside, Calif., Ann Conover of Pearson, Fla., Barbara Sue Sherman of Kirkwood, Ill., and Pat Walton of Lyndon, Ill.

She was preceded in death by her parents and two brothers.

Visitation will be from 2 to 8 p.m. Wednesday at Banks & Beals Funeral Home in Stronghurst, where the family will receive friends from 6 to 8 p.m.

The graveside funeral for Mrs. McIntyre will be at 10 a.m. Thursday in the Olena Cemetery, Olena, Ill.

A memorial has been established for the Stronghurst Ambulance Service.
