Frank John Zaiser

Frank John Zaiser, 615 Iowa street, 69-year-old retired postal supervisor, died at 2:40 p.m. Sunday in St. Francis hospital after several years if failing health.

Zaiser, a member of the Elks lodge, retired several years ago after 49 years of service. He was the father of Col. Robert A. Zaiser who was killed in 1947 in an army plane crash in Georgia.

Zaiser was born July 30, 1882, in Burlington, the son of John C. and Mary Kahle Zaiser, and was married here to Arelia Guenther, Oct. 30, 1907.

Surviving are his widow; a daughter, Mrs. Virginia Williams, Mediapolis; two grandsons, Alan and Kent Zaiser, St. Petersburg, Fla.; 2 brothers, Ralph and John Zaiser, both of Burlington; and several nieces and nephews.

Services will be at 9 a.m. Wednesday in St. paul Catholic church. The cortege will leave Prugh's chapel at 8:50. Burial will be in the Kossuth cemetery. The rosary will be recited at 7:30 p.m. Tuesday at the chapel.
