Former Danville Resident is Dead

Danville - Word has been received of the sudden death at 6 p.m. Thursday of Ray W. Mathews, 73, at his home in Los Angeles, Cal. Former resident of Danville, he was the son of Mr. and Mrs. David Mathews, early settlers of Iowa. His wife was Edna Blakeway, who survives with two children, Mrs. Gladys Cresap and Frank Mathews, both of Los Angeles, and four grandchildren. Burial will be in Los Angeles.
