Reatha Raines

Reatha Viola Raines, 82, of 3007 Market St., died Monday, Jan. 27, 1992, at her home.

Born March 23, 1909, in Memphis, Mo., she was the daughter of Benjamin and Clara Small Dalton. She married Frank H. Raines, March 26, 1926, in Burlington. He died June 6, 1977.

She was a homemaker and had worked at the Iowa Army Ammunition Plant during war time. She was of the Protestant faith.

Survivors include one son, Floyd Raines, of Oden, Ark.; two daughters, Ella May Sawyer of Mena, Ark., and Donna Long of Burlington; one brother, Floyd Dalton of Arlington, Texas; 16 grandchildren, 31 great-grandchildren and three great-great grandchildren.

Besides her husband, she was preceded in death by her parents, a daughter, and two brothers.

There will be no visitation.

The funeral for Mrs. Raines will be 10:30 a.m. Thursday at Lunning Chapel with the Rev. George Weitzel officiating. Burial will be in Memorial Park Cemetery.
