Vickie E. Kirby Brueck

Vickie E. Kirby Brueck, 45. died Friday, November 19, 2004 at 5:28 pm at Hospice Kavanagh House in Des Moines. Born on December 14, 1958 in Burlington, she was the daughter of Warren and Pauline(Swanson)Kirby. She lived in Burlington until moving to Altoona, IA 15 years ago. Vickie graduated from Des Moines Area Community College with an Office Technology Degree and worked for Maximus in Des Moines as a customer service representative.
Vickie attended Sunnyside Avenue Baptist Church in Burlington and Altoona Regular Baptist Church in Altoona. She loved spending time with her family and friends, and listening to Christian music. She enjoyed cooking and crafts.
She was preceded in death by her parents.
Vickie is survived by her son, Jamie Kirby and his wife Shellie of Mitchellville, daughters, Megan and Melissa Brueck of Mitchellville and Emily Hazelbaker of Pleasant Hill; one granddaughter; sister, Sherry Fitzgibbon and her husband Tom; brother, Ronald Kirby; brother, Alan Kirby and his wife, Marti of Burlington; brother, Galen Kirby, and his wife, Debbie of Barrington, IL; sister, Debbie McCandless and her husband, Monte and sister Joyce Kirby of Burlington; a brother, Dennis Kirby and his wife Unchala of Lancaster, CA; her special companion Rod Cain of Carman, IL; several nieces and nephews and one great-nephew.
Memorial services will be 7:00p.m., Monday, November 22, 2004 at Grandview Park Funeral Home in Des Moines. The family will receive friends from 5:30 p.m., Monday until service time at the funeral home. Additional services will be 2:30 p.m., Tuesday, November 23, 2004 at Sunnyside Ave. Baptist Church in Burlington. Family will receive friends from noon tuesday until service time at the church. Inurnment will follow at Aspen Grove Cemetery in Burlington. Memorial contributions may be given in honor of her children.
