Robert W. Wilson 62, of Stronghurst, Ill., died 12:10 a.m. Saturday, Oct. 8, 1988, at Burlington Medical Center.
Born June 4, 1926, in Burlington, he was the son of William and Esther Brookhiser Wilson. He married Irma Borchardt May 27, 1967, in Stronghurst, Ill.
He had been employed as a mechanic and salesman with the C.E. Neff Co., Stronghurst, Ill., for 33 years. He was a member of the Stronghurst-Carman Masonic Lodge, the Burlington Moose Lodge, the Henderson County Auxiliary Police and the M.S.T. Fire Departmant. He had served on the Stronghurst Zoning Board.
Srviving are his wife; two sons, Clifford Wilson and Michael Wilson, both of Burlington; two daughters, Mrs. Connie (Gerald) Herman and Mrs. Marcia (Brian) Luers, both of Burlington; one brother, Frank Wilson, Gaston, Ore.; two sisters, Mrs. Gladys (James) Bigger, Media, Ill., and Mrs. Marian (Jay) Hawkinson, Rockford, Ill.; and seven grandchildren.
Visitation will be after noon Monday with Masonic rites at 7 p.m. and the family receiving friends from 7 to 9 p.m. at the Banks and Beals Funeral Home, Stronghurst, Ill.
The service for Mr. Wilson will be 10 a.m. Tuesday at the Banks and Beals Funeral Home, Stronghurst, Ill., with the Rev. Kurt Calsen Offiiciating. Burial will be 1 p.m. Wednesday in Sunnyside Memorial Garden, Charles City.
Memorials have been established for the Stronghurst Ambulance Department and the M.S.T. Fire Department.
