Edward Kentch

Edward Eugene Kentch, 45, of Augusta, died Saturday, Jan. 21, 1989.

His body has found Saturday in the Skunk River near Wever.

Born July 13, 1941, in Burlington, he was the son of Raymond and Marie Gaibel Kentch. He married Janice Fedler Ough, Aug. 17, 1976, in Carthage, Ill.

He was a 1959 graduate of Denmark High School. He was a commercial fisherman and a trapper. He formerly worked for the Iowa Army Ammunition Plant and Crandon Paper Mill.

Survivng are his wife, Janice of Augusta; his mother, Marie Kentch, Augusta; three daughters Carla Kentch, Niota, Ill., Mrs. Gary(Carroll Jo) Rae, Niota, Ill., and Mrs. Raymond(Christi) Rutledge, Fort Madison; two stepsons, Randy Ough, rural Fort Madison, and Ronnie Ough, Fort Madison; one brother, Gary Kentch, Burlington; three sisters, Mrs. Bud(Sharon)Pfligerstafer, Bonaparte, Mrs. Eddie(Susan)Green, Mediapolis and Rae Jeanne McElderry, Fort Madison; two grandchildren; and four step-grandchildren.

Visitation will be after noon Monday at the King-Lynk Funeral Home, Fort Madison. Family will meet friends 7 to 8 p.m. Monday at the King-Lynk Funeral Home.

The services for Mr. Kentch will be at 10:30 a.m. Tuesday, at the King-Lynk Funeral Home, with Kevin Yaley officiating. Burial will be in the Augusta Cemetery.

A memorial has been established for the family.
