Vera Austin

Vera Emily Austin, 75, of Danville died at 9 a.m. Wednesday, April 4, 2007, at Great River Medical Center.

Born June 5, 1931, in Denmark, she was the daughter of Fred and Bessie Stratton Osborne. On Dec. 27, 1953, she married John L. "Jack" Austin in Burlington.

Mrs. Austin was a homemaker.

Survivors include her husband; two sons, Kevin Austin of West Burlington and Kyle Austin of Danville; and one sister, Hilda Brandt.

She was preceded in death by her parents and two sisters.

Visitation begins at 8 a.m. Saturday at Lunning Chapel.

The funeral for Mrs. Austin will be at 11 a.m. Saturday in Lunning Chapel, with the Rev. Leonard Schantz officiating. Interment will be in Jaggar Cemetery in rural Danville.
