Gregory "Greg" Scott Francis, 54, of Piggott, Ark., formerly of Loveland, Colo., died early Wednesday, Aug. 14, 2002, in Loveland, where he had been visiting his children for the past two weeks.

Born Jan. 23, 1948, in Burlington, he was the son of Howard and Helen Wick Francis.

Mr. Francis was a graduate of Burlington High School. He lived in Loveland for several years and then moved to Arkansas about four years ago. He was a carpenter by trade but most recently worked with Wise Co. in Arkansas as a quality control inspector.

He enjoyed raising birds, pigeons in particular, fishing, hunting and spending time with his family.

Survivors include his wife, Dana Francis of Piggott; his mother of Carmichael, Calif.; his children, Lisa Wilson and Scott Atteberry of Burlington, Vonda Jensen of Longmont, Colo., Gregg Francis of Evans, Colo., and Joe Francis of Loveland, Colo.; two sisters, Kaye James of Fair Oaks, Calif., and Cindy Stutsman of Knox City, Mo.; 17 grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his father.

His body was cremated. No funeral service is planned.
