Pamela Jaan Pressley, 55, of Burlington, died at 9:04 a.m. Monday, May 3, 2004, at Great River Medical Center in West Burlington.

Born Dec. 3, 1948, in Burlington, she was the daughter of Donald and Myranell Hill Dockendorff. On June 6, 1986, she married David L. Pressley in Burlington. He died May 21, 1992. She was previously married to Keith Miller.

Mrs. Pressley was the office manager for Des Moines County Conservation for 30 years.

She was a 1967 graduate of Danville High School and a 1969 graduate of Southeastern Community College.

She was a member of Danville United Methodist Church and the Big Hollow Lake Project. She was a Bears fan, die-hard Cubs fan and an avid golfer. She enjoyed the Mississippi River and gardening.

Survivors include one son, Marc Miller of Danville; three grandchildren; her mother of Danville; two brothers, Gary Dockendorff and John Dockendorff, both of Danville; and one sister, Delores Westfall of Pueblo, Colo.

Besides her husband, she was preceded in death by her father, one brother and one nephew.

Visitation will be from 8 a.m. to 8 p.m. Friday at Lunning Chapel, where the family will receive friends from 6 to 8 p.m.

The funeral for Mrs. Pressley will be at 10:30 a.m. Saturday at Danville United Methodist Church, with the Rev. Richard Latta officiating. Burial will be in Jaggar Cemetery in Danville.

A memorial has been established for Big Hollow Lake Project.
