Frances Miles

Frances Anna Miles, 73, of Springdale, Ark., died Sunday, Oct. 3, 2004.

Born April 16, 1931, in Ottumwa, she was the daughter of Charles Ross and Leona Annis Taylor. On Sept. 30, 1978, she married Larry David Miles in Long Beach, Calif. He died Feb. 14, 2000.

Mrs. Miles was a homemaker. She also worked at Selby's for several years.

She was a member of Faith Full Gospel Church in Bethel Heights, Ark.

Survivors include three sons, William LeRoy Helmick of Gallatin, Tenn., Timothy David Helmick of Washington and Raleigh Howard Helmick of Burlington; four daughters, Jean Cheney of Springdale, Ark., Ruby Irene Nichols of Mount Pleasant, Rusty Ann Kob of Burlington and Clara Rosella Helmick of Pine Bluff, Ark.; 40 grandchildren; 40 great-grandchildren; nieces and nephews.

Besides her husband, she was preceded in death by her parents, one son, one daughter, one grandchild and two great-grandchildren.

There will be no visitation. The body has been cremated.

The graveside service for Mrs. Miles will be at 10 a.m. Saturday in Jaggar Cemetery in Danville.

A memorial has been established.
