Pamela Sue "Pam" Hoschek, 54, of Burlington died Wednesday evening, June 7, 2006, at her home.

Born March 1, 1952, in Sigourney, she was the daughter of James and Mabel Dotson Kelly. She married Steve Hoschek.

Ms. Hoschek was a legal secretary for Beckman, Beckman and Koestner law firm for eight years. She then worked for the State of Iowa, Clerk of District Court in Des Moines County for 18 years.

She graduated from Mediapolis Community High School in the class of 1970. She enjoyed boating, traveling, watching movies and Hawkeye sporting events.

Survivors include her parents of Mediapolis; one son, Tim Hawkins of Des Moines; one daughter, Angie Gathers of Denmark; one granddaughter; two sisters, Patricia Stoller of Mediapolis and Nancy Little of Carrollton, Texas, and three brothers, Tom Kelley of Baton Rouge, La., Bill Kelly of Coralville, and Mike Kelly of Rock Island, Ill.

Visitation is from 11 a.m. to 7 p.m. Sunday at the Hagele and Honts Funeral Home in Mediapolis, where the family will receive friends from 5 to 7 p.m.

The funeral for Ms. Hoschek will be at 10 a.m. Monday at First United Methodist Church in Mediapolis, with the Rev. John Gaulke officiating. Burial will be in Kossuth Cemetery east of Mediapolis.

A memorial has been established for Great River Hospice and Denmark Fire and Rescue.
