Will and Testament of Joseph James Sater, of Burlington, Iowa.

I, Joseph James Sater of Burlington, Iowa, being of sound and disposing mind but very sick and view of the uncertainty of life do make, publish and declare this my last will and testament.

1st. I desire my just debts and funeral expenses to be paid.

2nd. I give, devise and bequeath to my only child, Harry Earl Sater, all my property of every kind and description and wherever situate real, personal and mixed including all policies of insurance and the proceeds thereof.

3rd. I appoint my mother-in-law Mrs. Martha Upton, Guardian of the person and property of said Harry Earl Sater, during his minority, and exempt her from giving bonds of any kind, and in the event of her death I appoint my brother John Michael Sater as such guarduan and exempt him from giving bonds.

4th. I nominate and appoint Mrs. Martha Upton and John Michael Sater, as Executrix and Executor of this my last will and exempt them from giving bonds of any kind. Witness my hand this 4th day of January 1908.

Subscribed in our presence by Joseph James Sater and by him declared to be his last will and testament and we in his presence and in thepresence of each other and at his request, hereunto subscribe our names as witnesses.
