John W. Hunter, of Burlington, an excellent, honorable, amiable, pleasant dispositioned man, aged 38 years, blew his brains out with a revolver about 4 o’clock Thursday morning. The cause is supposed to be, worry over the intemperate habits of his mother, who had become a common drunkard, and a nuisance to all the neighborhood.
