Catherine L. Manson, 94, of Manchester, passed away Sunday, Jan. 31, 2021.

Memorial Service was held at 1 p.m., Wednesday, Feb. 3, 2021, at the United Methodist Church. Pastor Phil Rogers officiated.

Interment will be held at a later date. Bohnenkamp-Murdoch Funeral Home & Cremation Service is assisting the family.

Catherine was born July 16, 1926 in Dundee, the daughter of Cole and Alice (Battin) Sedgwick. She graduated with the Dundee High School Class of 1943. On April 4, 1970, Catherine was united in marriage to James Manson in Independence. She was a homemaker who loved spending time with her family. Catherine was a member of the United Methodist Church and Crescent Rebekah Lodge for forty years.

Catherine’s family includes her two sons, Stephen Henderson of Hiawatha and Nick Manson of Des Moines; her grandchildren; and brother, Clarence Sedgwick of Dundee.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Cole and Alice Sedgewick; husband, Jim Manson; two daughters, Patricia Mefford and Judith Henderson; brother, Charles Sedgwick.
