Adorine Ann Kaiser, 86, of Manchester, Iowa, passed away Sunday, Sept. 20, 2020, at Marietta’s Place in Manchester.

Mass of Christian Burial: 10:30 a.m., Wednesday, Sept. 23, 2020, at St. Mary Catholic Church in Manchester, with Reverend Gabriel Anderson officiating.

Visitation was held from 3-7 p.m., Tuesday, Sept. 22, 2020, at Leonard-Muller Funeral Home, Manchester. Friends may also call 9-10 a.m., Wednesday, Sept. 23, 2020, at Leonard-Muller Funeral Home.

Interment: St. Mary Catholic Cemetery, Manchester.

Because of COVID-19, masks are strongly recommended at the funeral home and at the church.

Adorine was born April 3, 1934, at Delhi to Ben and Gertrude (Polfer) Heims. She was raised and educated in the area, graduating from Delhi High School.

On June 10, 1952 Adorine married Robert Kaiser at St. John Catholic church in Delhi. Six children were born to this union. Adorine and Bob farmed near Manchester until 1980 and then they retired to their new home north of Manchester. Adorine was a renowned seamstress and worked for Marie’s Bridal Shop. Bob passed away April 9, 2006. Adorine remained at her home until 2012 when she moved to The Meadows.

Adorine was an active member of St. Mary Catholic Church, a Catholic Daughter, a member of St. Gerard Study Club, a 4-H leader for many years and judged many achievement shows. She was also an avid quilter and was always going to do one more quilt. Adorine truly loved and enjoyed her family.

Survivors include Adorine’s four daughters: Kathy (Bruce) Hutchinson, of Manchester, Twyla (Dana) Detrich, of Manchester, Laura (Mark) Ries, of Toddville, Leanne (Dick) Fangmann, of Manchester; 18 grandchildren; 27 great-grandchildren; one great-great grandson; with one great-grandchild and one great-great-grandson on the way. She is also survived by her four siblings: Eldon (Katie) Heims, of Delhi, Loras (Celeste) Heims, of Dundee, Yvonne (Ted) Wernimont, of Coralville, and Carl Heims, of Dubuque; one sister-in-law, Mary Heims, of Manchester and many nieces and nephews.

Adorine was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Bob; her two sons, Daniel and Jeffrey; her daughter-in-law, Laura Kaiser; her sister, Marilyn (Joseph) Langel; her brother, Delbert Heims: and her sister-in-law, Rita Heims.
