DUNDEE

Frederick Hoppner was born in Germany, in 1839 and came to this country at the age of 20 years. He lived in Illinois several years , while there he married Sophia Jennerjohn. To this union were born three sons and two daughters. Henry, the oldest son, died when a small child. The youngest son died October 8, 1918, in France, while in the service of his country. Bertha, the oldest daughter, died at her home in Portland, June 17, 1920. The surviving children are Frank, of Allison, Iowa and Mrs. Emil Rhode of Webster, S. Dakota, at whose home he passed away Feb. 1st, 1921 at the age of 82 years. His remains were brought to Dundee and aid to rest in Spring Hill Cemetery, on Friday, February 4th.
