Charles Husted
Mr. Charles Husted, aged 77 years and 4 months, died Thursday evening, February 16, at 6:30 at his home in Greeley after a long and painful illness with rheumatism. Mr. Husted was born near Jamestown, N.Y., September 29, 1833, and came to Delhi in the 70's, where he resided for several years. While there he was engaged as a tinner. In 1882 he went to Greeley and conducted a hardware store until about two years ago. On November 22, 1882, he was united in marriage to Mrs. Eliza Norris of Delhi. Mr. Husted has been a sufferer with rheumatism for over twenty years. Two years and a half ago he fell down stairs, since which time he has been confined to his bed. He is survived by his wife and a niece and nephew of New York. The funeral services were held from the M. E. Church at Greeley on Saturday at 2 p.m. and were conducted by Rev. F. G. Young of Fayette, after which the remains were placed in the Greeley cemetery.
