August Krogman, who passed away at his home in Dyersville last Tuesday evening after an illness of several months, was a very highly esteemed resident of this city and his death brings sorrow to many friends.

Mr. Krogman was born in Germany in 1837, and was educated and grew to manhood in his home country. He was married in 1864 to Miss Anna Sonker of Steinfeld, Germany, and in 1866 came to this country and located south of Dyersville. They made their home there until in 1901, when they came to live in this town.
Deceased was very well known and loved by all who knew him for his kind heat and charitable deeds done for others. He is survived by his wife and two sons, Henry and August. The funeral took place Friday morning from the home to St. Francis Church, and after a requiem mass burial took place in St. Francis Cemetery.
