Mrs. Larson, the daughter of A.J. and Nelle (Cruise) Faust, was born Aug. 1, 1907, in Earlville. She graduated from Earlville High School and received her teacher's degree from Iowa State Teachers College in Cedar Falls. She taught in the rural school system in Edgewood. She was an assistant librarian at the Red Wing Public Library from 1935 to 1944. She married Rey Larson on Nov. 10, 1945, in Chicago. She received a bachelor of science degree from the College of Commerce at the University of Iowa in 1955. She was a substitute teacher in the Iowa City elementary school system. They moved to Waseca, Minn., in October 1995.
She was a member of the University Club at the University of Iowa, a past member of the Iowa City Ladies Elk Club, a 50-year member of the Order of the Eastern Star and had been a leader of the Red Wing Job's Daughters. She was a former member of the Earlville Congregational Church.
