John (Jack) Woellert, 60, of 169 Locust, died Saturday at Finley Hospital. Funtilriends may call 11 a.m. Tuesday at Egelhof Funeral Home. Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Tuesday at Immanuel Lutheran Church at Earlville, Ia., with the Rev. John Winter officiating. Burial will be in Fairview Cemetery, Earlville. The body will rest at the church from Tuesday noon until services.

hE was born at Earlville, Ia., son of Fred and Minnie Dettbarn Woellert, and lived in Dubuque since 1934. He was employed as bartender at the Park Square Tavern.

Surviving are his wife, the former Cecilia Gravel; three daughters, Mrs. Robert Burke and Mrs. Willis Apel, Dubuque; and Mrs. Alvin Henderson, Manchester, Ia.; one son, Vincent, Scales Mound, Ill.; 14 grandchildren; seven sisters, Mrs. Elsie Bond, Delaware, Ia.; Mrs. Clarence Harkey, Dubuque; Mrs. Cecil Romig, Hannibal, Mo.; Mrs. Jessie Fox, Wadena, Ia.; Mrs. Sophia Morton, Forest Grove, Ore.; Mrs. George Gilison, Riddle, Ore.; and Mrs. Herman Haugen, Estacada, Ore.; two brothers, Louis and Ernest Woellert, both of Preston, Minn.
He was a member of the Fraternal Order of Eagles and the Bartenders Union.
