Allen Eugene Chapman, 18, died Friday, May 19, 2000, in a car accident north of Ely. Services: 10 a.m. Monday, Bohnenkamp-Murdoch Funeral Home, Manchester. Burial: Fairview Cemetery, Earlville. Friends may call from 3 to 8 p.m. today and after 9 a.m. Monday at the funeral home.

Allen was born Sept. 28, 1981, in Iowa City, Iowa, the son of Marilyn Neuhaus and Lester Chapman Sr. of Manchester. He attended West Delaware High School, Manchester, and worked for Iowa Walls Concrete Construction in Marion.

Allen enjoyed hanging out with his family and friends. He liked to work and really loved his job. Allen will be greatly missed by all who knew him.

Allen is survived by his parents; two brothers, Lester Jr. and Timmy Chapman of Manchester; his girlfriend, Megan Schuster of Delhi and their unborn child which is due in August; maternal grandparents, Mr. and Mrs. Ralph Neuhaus of Manchester; paternal-grandmother, Mrytle Chapman of Marion; and uncles, aunts and cousins.

Allen was preceded in death by a brother, Michael Chapman; and paternal grandfather, Clarence Chapman.
