MRS. DR. TOBIE (SARAH) - APR. 19, 1887
Again death visited our quiet town, this time taking one of our most estimable ladies, Mrs. Dr. Tobie. She had been a great suffer of diabetes for many months past, yet her death was sudden and unexpected. She was taken violently ill on Tues. last and sank rapidly till Thurs. when she passed over the dark river. Thus another home is made desolate. A husband and two children are left to mourn the loss of an affectionate wife and mother. She was buried from her home on Saturday morning, the memorial service held at the M.E. church on Sabbath afternoon, with Rev. Dorwin officiating.
