MANCHESTER, Iowa - Marie Hunt, 97, of Manchester, died Saturday, Sept. 15, 2012, at the Good Neighbor Home, Manchester.

Services will be at 11 a.m. Wednesday, Sept. 19, at Clifton-Murdoch Funeral Home and Cremation Services, Earlville, with the Rev. Jill Mack officiating. Burial will be in Fairview Cemetery, Earlville. Friends may call after 10 a.m. Wednesday at the funeral home.

Marie was born on April 10, 1915, in Earlville, daughter of Lester and Beulah (Zeitler) Hunt. She graduated from Earlville High School and attended two years at Bayless Business College.

She was an administrative secretary for Iowa Electric Light & Power in Manchester for 31 years, retiring in 1979.

Marie volunteered her time and gifted her estate to Camp Courageous, which was very dear to her heart.

Surviving is a nephew, Gerald "Bud" Hunt Jr., of Savannah, Ga.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Lester and Beulah Hunt; and two brothers, Donald and Gerald Hunt.

Memorials may be given to Camp Courageous and Wounded Warrior Project.
